“As your next Vestal Town Judge, I promise to apply the law equally and fairly to everyone who comes before me. I will ensure that the Vestal Court is accessible for victims of crimes, litigants, and witnesses. Right now, the Vestal Town Court is generally only open between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. This is a time when many people have jobs and are required to work. Nobody, especially those that are the most financially vulnerable in our society, should have to take one or multiple days off from work to answer a traffic ticket, bring a small claims action, or answer or file an eviction.”

As Judge, Josh will also hold court in the evenings, when many people are not working, and also, as permitted by law, expand the use of virtual appearances by parties so that they don’t have to undergo the time and expense of traveling to court.
